Happy August! Summer seems to be speeding along, and things are busy as usual at our clinic. We had an exciting week of vacations for some of our team during the last week of July: Dr. Johnston enjoyed a week at Sauble beach and Tobermory with her family, Louise spent time camping in Algonquin park, Carolyn enjoyed a staycation with her new granddaughter Iris, and Julie spent 5 days in Alberta at a beautiful wedding with family. 

Don’t be fooled - the rest of our staff is taking vacation in the first week of August. Dr. Leguard will be out of office August 6th-14th traveling through the South of France with her boyfriend Nathan. They will be watching an Olympic soccer game while they are away in Marseille (so watch out for her in the crowd during a women’s semi final match on August 6th!). Myranda and Carleigh will also be taking time off in the first weeks of August. Drs. Hubbel and Johnston will be covering for Dr. Leguard when she is away. 

Our patients will also be taking a day of vacation from visiting us in our clinic - when we are CLOSED during the Monday August 5th civic holiday. Another upcoming vacation day for patients will also be on the September long weekend - Monday, September 2nd, 2024. 

On July 22, we celebrated 5 years of Carolyn in our clinic! Julie’s 4 year anniversary is August 4th, and Carleigh’s 4 year anniversary is August 12th. Julie is celebrating her birthday on August 15th, and Chloe Leguard (sister of Dr. Leguard and granddaughter to Dr. Hubbel) is celebrating her 23rd birthday on August 10th. 

Both Myranda, Carleigh and Carleigh’s son Roger are participating in the Foam Fest Fun Run at Dagmar Ski Hill on August 24th. Myranda is part of a larger group that is there to support her late brother, Brayden. All proceeds raised go towards Make A Wish Canada.
