April 2022 - Updates

Hello April! A few office updates: 

Many of you may now be comfortable wearing no mask into public spaces as per the new Ontario regulations. In our office, as we are a health care setting, masks will still be required until the end of April. However, our staff will likely be wearing masks for the foreseeable future, as we want to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy. We appreciate your efforts and understanding to do the same. 

You may have noticed a few updates in our office last month, including our beautiful new floors throughout, as well as our new staff photo wall. Be sure to read each team member’s bio, and enjoy the beautiful new photos taken by our resident photographer, Carleigh. 

Our office will be closed ONLY on Good Friday (April 15th)  this year, and will be open on Easter Monday (April 18th). 

April 4-10th is National Dental Hygienists Week. Be sure to remember that Dee-Ann Yorki-Gervais, a dental hygienist, runs her practice out of our office. She is able to provide services such as dental cleanings, teeth whitening, mouth guard fitting and more. 

April 7th is World Health Day. We are very lucky to live in a society where good health is common, but remember that your own health is something in which you have a large role to play. Exercise, diet, and of course, regular chiropractic care are keystones of such good health. Share with us your favourite way to stay healthy and keep in shape. As the weather gets warmer and drier, get outside and active with your friends and family!

On another note: Several families from Ukraine who have been displaced by the ongoing conflict will be coming to Northumberland in the near future. Most will be hosted by local families until further notice. We will be supporting them by collecting weather appropriate clothing (spring and summer) and shoes. We will not have a collection box on display in our office, but will be accepting donations, and looking after the rest.
